John Hunter was born in Bruslee in 1832 and this tin type photo was taken at the May Fair around 1852. It comes from an old album which was taken to Australia in 1882 and was sent to us by his great grandson David Hunter

John had two or three brothers who may be amongst these young men who have dressed up in their best clothes for the May Fair. If you would like to know more about this family check their website
