Architects
have retained much of the character of the
mill including the brick curved ceilings
and the support pillars Raised floors
conceal cables and heating.
The
green door in the top photo is the toilet
which workers had to get permission to
leave their machine to use. One former
worker on a tour revealed it was open to
the sky and all weathers.
Council
workers who previously had been scattered
in buildings around the borough now can
communicate easily in this open plan
office area.
